some more books (what a couple of reading days):

First, I finished Lone Wolf and Cub #19: The Moon in Our Hearts, which is another in the series, obviously, but not quite as good as the last two.

Then, I finished 21, which is a story fragment, unfinished copy, of the work that Patrick O'Brian was working on at his death. The book was going to be the 21st in the Aubrey and Maturin series, which recently had the movie Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, based on two books of the series. Interesting, as it has one page of typed material, faced with a page of his handwritten manuscript. For completists, or for those interested in the writing process.

Watched The Ladykillers last night, from a Netflix DVD. What an odd, black comedy. Very odd. forestcats didn't care for it; I'm not sure that I did either. I'm very glad we didn't spend $20 to go see it, but it might just be worth renting....

Off to vote today; I'm more concerned about the various California Propositions than I am about the Presidential election, since the state of California is considered to be a "safe" state for the Democratic Party. All-in-all, this is going to be an election that will leave a major effect on history; I just hope we all choose right.
