Moving ahead with this year's readings:
I finished the latest book that I know of written by Paul Doherty (yet another nom de plume of P. C. Doherty) which is the most recent of the Canterbury tales series of mystery/horror tales. This one is called A Haunt of Murder
which involves the clerk's tale of murder, lost treasure, and what happens after death. Again, a pretty good read. My next two by this author go back to the Egyptian series.
Many things have happened over the last few days; I can't recall if I've posted, so I'm going to write about each thing separately, to keep from boring the audience.
Friday, I took the day off to take forestcats
off to San Diego to visit the zoo and pay homage to the pandas. Two of them were out for viewing; the young one, and the mother. We passed through the line twice in short order; it was delightful. Other organisms were also viewed, including okapis, koalas, and a hippo. The drive back was marred by the outgoing drivers and a traffic jam, but it wasn't enough to diminish our pleasure.
