us two in Chicago

anniversary

Seventeen years ago, the love of my life stood before me in a gown of white, glowing. I could barely stand, I was so struck.

Thank you, Bridget, for being my wife.

us two in Chicago

(no subject)

Busy weekend.

We spent quite a bit of time on spring cleaning chores, partially due to the impending arrival of guests (my parents, and my sister, to take us out for a meal due to our upcoming wedding anniversary). The place looks pretty damn fine, just now. The dinner went off reasonably well; Johnny Carino's has really tasty food, though out waitress disappeared for an extended period, and nobody came to look after us for much too long.

Spent time watching an episode of ST:TNG season 3; not bad, not great. I also read one comic, 303 which I am enjoying, and I'm looking forward to it moving forward.

When we got home, and family left, we took the pack of dogs to dog park, which they enjoyed, but as it got colder, I truncated the visit, and we came home. Then, forestcats collapsed in a nap. I couldn't (Sirius wouldn't stop barking at me to throw her a ball), so I put on the PS2 game Bard's Tale, and I found what little I managed to play hilarious. There's much in it that is a send-up of other games, while also having pretty excellent graphics, and an interesting game system. I can't wait to sit down in front of the set again, though I think I'm going to try to turn several people onto it, including forestcats and axelicious.

There's been hoards of butterflies locally the last several days, which I think is very cool, but quite odd.
