Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

So, after long reading, I've finished another compilation of the letters of Hunter S. Thompson, a book called The Gonzo Letters: Volume II: Fear and Loathing in America: The Brutal Odyssey of an Outlaw Journalist. For a person who lived through that period, it's an interesting read. Thompson met and knew a number of the movers and shakers of the times. However, his tendency to exageration and outrageousness come through clearly in the letters.

On the comic front, I read Samurai: Heaven and Earth #4 yesterday; not bad, though I just don't get the point of having a samurai running around the court of Louis XIV.

Last night, I watched the opening episode from ST:TNG Season 4, which concluded the previous season's cliffhanger. Riker comes through, what a shock.

Following that, forestcats and I watched Calendar Girls, a film which dealt with a nude calendar done by a group of rural British ladies to raise money to upgrade the facilities at a local hospital, in memory of one of their husbands. Nicely done.
