Dead Dog Cat

Too much.

I can't begin to say how happy I am that we had the help we did from friends this time. For some reason, I was simply exhausted much of yesterday; I did a lot of work, but I have no idea how I would have been able to pick up the slack had we not had Tom and bigsqueezer and xcentricities with us from the start. forestcats was doing arcane things in the kitchen that later in the day would magically appear as delicious and filling food; I turned into a quivering lump of fatigue.

The day was marvelous. None of the disasters that are rife when humans get involved kept us from having a day filled with the joys of comradery (sp?), human contact, and pleasant conversation. Firefly, which several of our friends hadn't experienced, turned into the theme of the living room; there was much laughter in there.

It's stunning to realize that this is our holiday, the one that makes this house a place of happiness for our friends, and the one that makes it a home.

My heart is bursting with pride at the things that forestcats accomplishes.

See you all next year, right here!
