Dead Dog Cat

Got a bit more reading done, while forestcats went to the game convention to support Dungeonmaster. I work on Saturdays, and due to the inclement weather, and the late hour of my work completion, I knew I wasn't going to be able to make it to the LAX Hilton in time. *SIGH*. Anyway, intermittently, while playing with Sirius and brushette, I read a few more comics:

Supreme Power: Hyperion #3 of 5 - so-so.

Oz: The Manga #7 - took us through the return of Dorothy to the Emerald City, and the response of the Wizard to the requests of the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion, and the failure of Dorothy to board the balloon back to Kansas. Not bad.

Desolation Jones #5 - more interesting background hints at what was done to the protagonist, and the story moves forward again.

The Book of Lost Souls #4 - another interesting story. I like where this book is going.

When forestcats returned last night, we ate, and then spent a while watching disk 1 of Deadwood season 1. Very gritty, very mean, very evil bad guys, and very gray good guys. I found it interesting; forestcats found it more distressing. I'm not removing it from the Netflix list just yet.

Remember, those of you within striking distance of Orange County, CA, at 6:30 PM tonight we will be having a get-together at Portillo's on La Palma in Buena Park in honor of the ? anniversary of her 39th birthday of forestcats! Come one, come all, the food is good, and the ambiance casual!

I've discovered that I don't have the totality of Douglas Adams BBC radio version of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on MP3s; I'm missing one or two that I thought were portions, but turn out to be Adams reading the book from a book on tape or CD. This is disappointing, as I am supposed to pass it on to magicdgk. I do have the series on vinyl, but I don't have any means of transferring it from the turntable to a computer...*sigh*.
