Dead Dog Cat

#26

Finished a Simon R. Green book yesterday, called Something from the Nightside, which I enjoyed; a bit of horror/Fairy versus the present, in London.

Busy weekend, it was.

We started Saturday with travelling westward; we stopped in Burbank to go to a quilt show that was forgettable; not like the Road to California thing that forestcats is involved in.

Further travel took us to the venue where Dungeonmaster is performed, so that I could be a participant in the rehearsal. Why, do I hear you ask? Because I was asked to fill in due to the paucity of actors available for the show this last weekend. Boy, they must have been desperate...

We caught some OK but not great dinner while waiting for the show, and then I loaded up and did my parts. Went fairly well, I guess; at least I wasn't booed off the stage. We followed that by going to Denny's and looking at Dan's works with Adobe Photoshop, as he'd brought his laptop with him.

Sunday morning, the kids of a friend asked if we had any work for them to do, and we got a clean breezeway and much work done in the backyard to boot. Lovely. We followed that by going to the wedding of a friend's daughter at the LA Equestrian Center, the place where William Shatner boards his horses. Nice.

Coming home, we were pretty exhausted, so we pulled out the portable DVD player, and watched an episode of season 5 Gilmore Girls, and then called it a night.
