Dead Dog Cat

#30, 31, 32

It was a good day for books, yesterday.

First, I finished the third and last book of the Samurai Mystery series by Dale Furutani, this one being Kill the Shogun. I think he's left the series open for future work, but he hasn't written anything in it thus far. I liked getting lost in the milieu; the mystery was less exciting.

Next, I read two Osprey books.

First of these was Osprey Elite #130: The Mycenaeans c.1650 - 1100 BC which covered an era I knew little about.

Second was Osprey New Vanguard #119: Bronze Age War Chariots, a study of the earliest known war machines. Interesting.

In health news, my chest wall only aches a bit, and I'm stiff and can't bend in that area as much as I did a week ago. I take this all as a good sign that I'm healing.

Two horses out of four have travelled to our mechanic's farm up north; we're left with the horses who can't be ridden yet due to youth and not being broken yet.

I've exchanged a couple of emails with the acquaintance of old; his family photo albums, protected by passwords, are visible on the Internet, and it's definitely him. I'm glad he was willing to interact; I don't expect that I will get a response from all that many inquiries as this goes on.
