Well, we've had something of a paradigm shift here at Rancho Paley yesterday. It felt somewhat like when we went from dial-up to DSL, but not quite as profound. Yesterday morning, we upgraded our cable from regular to digital, and while doing so, went from DSL to cable modem. It appears that our connecting speed is about three times faster, now. In addition, there's now basic cable on the TV in the living room, extended cable on the TV in the den, and a cable access in our bedroom for when we get around to putting a TV in there. Seems pretty good so far, and forestcats tells me that it's actually going to be somewhat cheaper than what we were previously paying, DSL included. This, too, is a good thing.
