Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

When I got home last night, the first thing I did was look on the roof.

No white blur.

Then, forestcats and I started looking up into the branches of the forest. About thirty feet overhead...big white blur.

This morning, the peahen is once again patrolling in front of our window.

Pretty soon, we'll have to give the critter a name.

Last night, or more correctly, early this morning, I finished another book, this being the latest hardcover by Jim Butcher, called Proven Guilty. Once again, it was a very good read, and the author is brave enough to leave lots of storylines open for future resolution. I like the way this series is going; it's open-ended enough for several more books.

brushette and I took a brisk walk, including about a block of jogging, last night. The puppy was very pleased. My left ankle was less so, but it held up. I'll have to be careful about jogging on it much.
