Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

Last night, just before bed, I finished a book by Bernard Cornwell called The Pale Horseman, which is the second of a series of historical novels set in the era of Alfred the Great of England. I generally like the author's work, but this one was hard to get into. It did finally grow on me, and is pretty good, but Cornwell's works are generally better than this.

Last night, after work, forestcats and I went out to dinner with a couple from fandom; he is a local pediatrician, and we run across each other at the hospital intermittently. A nice evening; we ate at Tamarind, a very good local Indian restaurant.

Weekend will be busy, this time around, and there's change in the air at my work. More later.
