Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

We've been hosting a couple of artists bound for WorldCon at the house the last couple of days: Darlene Coltrain and Steven Vincent Johnson. We had a chance to view (and purchase) some of their work at a trunk show last night near Pasadena. It's been cool in the conversation vein, and we took them to dinner at Greenfields (they'd never had Brazilian BBQ before), and then for tapas at Viva Madrid last night. They'll be off doing family things for a couple of days, and then we'll see them at the con.

My appetite for SF conventions is being whetted...

A little while ago, I finished another Simon R Green book of the Nightside series, this one being Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth, and I must say that I was rather disappointed. There were some glaring inconsistencies, and I found it anti-climactic. I guess it's just me...

Other than that, I vegetated out while doing laundry, sitting in front of the TV, copying Good Eats from the DVR to VHS tapes, and reading intermittently. We got a call from Tom, who will be arriving for WorldCon Wednesday; and the pace is picking up!
