Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

I joined forestcats and brushette after their first run in today's agility meet at Chaffey College in Upland, and she had managed four jumps before wandering off. Better.

She then did three obstacles including a jump, a broad jump, and an A-frame, when she failed to do the weave poles and scurried off to unload her bladder. Still, this was a better day than yesterday.

After work, I finished A King's Trade, yet another of the Lewrie series of nautical fiction in the Napoleonic era by Dewey Lambdin; I've enjoyed this series, and it's vaguely Flashman-esque in its hero's behavior. Fun. Not deep, though.

Next, I also finished The Haunting by Paul Doherty, a tale about an exorcism in a Victorian household in England. This one, too, is a better read than some works I've read of the author's lately, and reminds me why I got into him in the first place. There's better characterization, and a more interesting setting than in some of his other works.
