Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

forestcats fell deeply asleep relatively early, so I read a bit before bedtime last night, and in so doing, found a couple of books that I'm going to dump.

It's been a while since I've last done that, so I suppose I should tell folks that I used to read everything I got my hands on, whether I was enjoying them or not, but it turns out that doing so wasted my limited reading time for the books that I was enjoying. forestcats persuaded me that I should just dump those that I don't like, rather than burn limited time on them, and I've followed suit.

Of course, nowadays I'm a bit better about being choosy than I was in my teens and twenties, but nobody's perfect.

In this case, it was a story collection edited by David Drake called Foreign Legions, and then The Science of Discworld II: The Globe that I just couldn't get into at all, and I'm putting them both into the "out to the used bookstore" pile.

If anyone wants to buy either from me, let me know...

another Osprey book

I finished another Osprey, this one being Osprey Warrior #100: Nelson's Sailors, which is an interesting supplement to a number of the nautical novels that I've read. Anyone into that genre might find this book useful.
