Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

While sitting around waiting, monitoring and fiddling with backing up my key files on the harddrive, I finished reading another book, this one being The Emperor's Coloured Coat, by John Biggins. This is the second book about Prohaska; again, it was a fun read, in a Flashman-like fashion. The other two books of the series are still out of print, but one is due out fairly soon in reprint, and the other next year. Apparently, the author is delighted at the reception of the books, and is considering sitting down to write more...

I did decide to dump a couple of books by Dale Furutani. They just didn't grab me enough. The books were set in the modern world, but I just couldn't get into the main character, and so, on to the next book.

I ran my game today, Rolemaster, to a limited group, and we started very late. However, much got done, and the party is set to carry out a very deadly and dangerous mission next gameday, whenever that ends up being.

For some reason, I didn't get much sleep last night, which led to me spending most of the night, and too much of the morning doing backup chores on our files. I'm glad it's done, but it was a pain of the first water.
