Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

Oddness on the flight back from the Bay Area; I flew in and out through Oakland. Luckily, I was wearing a black sweater, because the flight was essentially a commuter flight filled completely with Raiders fans who had been to a losing game for them. Apparently, lots of people in SoCal have season tickets to the Raiders, and fly up for every game.

The oddness? There was a large police contingent standing by as the flight loaded, because historically fistfights erupt after the games at the airport as the fans return home.

Oh, my.

While I was sitting in an airport, I finished Song of the Gladiator, by P. C. Doherty, which is another book of his set in Imperial Rome; not bad, as mysteries go, but the protagonist just doesn't catch my eye all that much, I'm afraid. Still, not a bad read, especially from the library or used bookstore.
