Off the DVR, last night, we watched The Dresden Files, which was less compelling than had been the previous ones. This story was lifted, sort of, from the books, but mangled beyond belief. I still say that we're seeing some material being seeded for future episodes, but the present episodes aren't all that good. On the other hand, as the opening credits were strolling by, I was excited to see that the director was a man with whom I went to Junior High School, High School and University. I knew that he and another gentleman had directed a film for Disney, called Midnight Madness, and that he was still directing TV episodes, but this was the first time I'd actually seen an episode of his of any sort. Nice.
