Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

In woodcarving class last night (where I'm still struggling to make a dragon head on a cane...), we had a youngster who had been dropped off by his mother sitting and doing nothing, because the instructor won't take responsibility for the child, in case he cuts himself. I can understand his reluctance; when the parent came to pick the boy up, the instructor carefully explained that an adult should attend with the youth in future, so he can participate. He also showed them how to keep the tools sharp and effective, as the sharper the tool, the less likely it will cause injury.

For those who might someday take up carving, keep that in mind!
