Dead Dog Cat

#40, 41, 42, 43

Yesterday was a busy book day, mostly because several books I was reading slowly ran out of pages at the same time.

First was Gene Wolfe's book, The Wizard, which was the sequel to The Knight; again, it was an interesting read, and very different from other fantasy novels.

Next was another P. C. Doherty book, which was a sequel to The Whyte Harte, called The Serpent Amongst the Lilies, in which the protagonist is sent to France to deal with Joan of Arc. Another interesting historical mystery, and it comes to an unusual conclusion.

I then glommed onto another couple of Ospreys, the first being Men-At-Arms #421: The Sikh Army 1799 - 1849, which I found interesting due to my lack of knowledge of Sikh history, and because a number of my colleagues are of Sikh extraction; the second being Fortress #53: US Anti-Satellite Warfare and Space Weaponry, which I found interesting due to my interest in space affairs.
