Dead Dog Cat

#49, 50

Two books that I'd been reading intermittently over the last couple of weeks fell victim to the specter of completion today.

First was The Cup of Ghosts by Paul Doherty; it's a mystery set in the courts of France and England in the 1300s, from the point of view of a young woman trained as an herbalist/apothecary/doctor. A good read.

The second was a very satisfying Jim Butcher novel, another in the Dresden Files, called White Night which deals brilliantly with several threads from the previous novels. I find this series to be pretty riveting.
