Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

Last night, we raced over to Cal Tech and the Beckman Auditorium for The Capitol Steps, a musical parody group. We'd invited two other couples to join us there for the fun. Very amusing; they always have a good mix of items making light of the topics of the day...

As the day moved into night, I finished yet another C. L. Grace novel (or, P. C. Doherty, if you prefer), this one called A Maze of Murders, set in Medieval England, and this mystery solved by a woman working as an apothecary/physician/detective. Somewhat better-written than the previous book of the series, and another quick read.

I managed to meet roadskoller, and wave at her husband, when I bolted out the door this morning to go to work. By the time I finished my duties, though, the poor lady had been laid low by migraine, and had called it a day. Sorrow.

The meat got et, though, that we'd intended to cook for the couple. Couldn't let it sit; it had defrosted...and so I grilled.
