Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

I finally received, and now have read, a book I had to get via Amazon.com, a Paul Doherty book called The Waxman Murders, which has as its protagonist Hugh Corbett, the clerk from Edward I's realm trying to work out a series of murders near Canterbury. A fine addition to that series.

It took a long time to arrive, I think, because it hasn't been published yet in the US, and they had to get it from Britain. I think.

I'm offcall now, and somewhat relieved, since last week, and especially last weekend, I was pretty swamped with work. That's fine, and all, as I want to see the work roll in, but it's nice to have a chance to catch my breath a bit.
