Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

Work didn't kill me yesterday, obviously, though I was tired by the end of the day, and then forestcats and I went to see a play at the La Mirada Center for the Performing Arts. Venue was nice enough, but most of the folks at the show looked like they were out on pass from their nursing homes.

The play was Sylvia, which dealt with the conflict between an older married couple when the man brought home a stray dog (Sylvia). The actors were pretty good, but the play itself didn't gel with me. Of course, with our household's habit of boarding varous species, I haven't much to say. For example, brushette doesn't really come between forestcats and I...

Then home; collapse.

Yesterday, I managed to plow through a compendium of facts and interesting tidbits called Schott's Miscellany 2008 by Ben Schott. Fun. Not truly intended to be a sit down and read kind of book, but it has so many bits and pieces of ideas, that it's delightful.
