Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

Last evening, while I was finishing up my work, I got word from my sister that my mother's house had been burglarized; it sounded suspiciously like someone who knew where to go and what to take. Some jewelry was stolen, along with a pile of collected coins that my father had amassed. Those coins had been pulled out of safe deposit boxes to be divided amongst us kids but the project hadn't been completed. As long as Mom is fine, though, I don't care what happened to the material items.

Home last night and we popped open a bottle of Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon 2002; yummy! We followed up with that by finishing another disc of Jericho season one. One of the episodes was quite good, the others less so.

Today: Beaglefest.

The day passes; we went to Beaglefest in Huntington Beach, and met up with a few dozen beagles who all seemed to enjoy the outing. corveys joined us, and clearly considers himself a beagle in his own right.

Home, we polished off a bottle of Temecula Hills Viognier, 2005, which went very well with our dinner, primarily Indian cuisine.

We finished off the night with another disc of Lost. This one finishes the principle photography; now we wait for the specials disc to not explain much of anything.
