Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

Most recent read: The Sushi Economy: Globalization and the Making of a Modern Delicacy, a quite interesting book about the history and sudden growth of sushi as a foodstuff, worldwide, and the industries that surround it.

I also dumped reading a book called Absurdistan by Gary Shteyngart; I just couldn't get into it.

Post-work, today, after getting my time in on the Wii Fit, I read some comics. Jack of Fables #28 ... yawn. DMZ #36, good but not great. Drafted #12, last of this stretch. My response to it is that I'm dropping the book. I don't care for or about the direction this is going to go, assuming they actually bother picking it up.

After my beloved's time on Wii Fit, we watched some of the Netflix materials, including another Foyle's War from season three; it continues to be excellent. Then there was an IMAX on DVD, called Whales that was pretty solid, in typical IMAX fashion. Finally, we finished watching the live-action Discworld item, called The Colour of Magic which STILL isn't available, here in the US, but showed on SkyOne in Britain. Very nice; the second half strikes me as better than the first.
