Dead Dog Cat

#9, 10

Quite the day. I finished two books today.

The first was the autobiography of a British officer in the Imperial Indian Army from the mid-1930s until the outbreak of WWII. It's an interesting read, called Bugles and a Tiger, written by John Masters, and deals with life in training and combat with the 2nd battalion of the 4th Gurkhas. Nicely written. It could have been a bit more detailed in sections, but didn't drag, so, well done.

The second was the most recent release by Bernard Cornwell, called Agincourt, and deals with the view of the battle of one archer. Nicely written, though a bit of Cornwellian formula, but a quick, entertaining read with a bit of education thrown in.
