After a day of clearing up and out a variety of materials out of the computer room (unfinished, even yet), I finished watching the disc from Netflix of ST:DS9. I telegraphed the ending, I'm afraid. *Sigh*.
I can tell how much busier we've been lately, in that I haven't been finishing as many books so far this year. I've even been forced to return two books to the library because I wasn't allowed to renew them any more. A Richard Brautigan collection, and a book called Daemon; in the first case, I hadn't even cracked the book yet, while the second, I'd only gotten to page six of 432. Sadness. I'll reorder them when I've cleared a few more books from the queue.
I did finish another book, today. It's Escape from Hell by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle, a follow-up novel to their book of the 70s, Inferno. I really enjoyed the latter book; the former is a lesser novel, but still fairly entertaining. Best to read Inferno first, if you haven't already. In fact, best to read Dante's Divine Comedy first of all.
And so, it is finished. There's a box of papers to shred or burn, and a few boxes of materials that are important items for forestcats that we'll have to store properly; I have more trashcans to take out, but it's done, and it feels great to have it completed. The room has space and light and air. Whew!
