Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

I dozed my way through an episode of ST:DS9, last night; it was supposed to be a Trill episode, but I didn't find it interesting.

OTOH: finished a comic book, Buckaroo Banzai: Origins, which started with himself. Had a few interesting moments.

Earlier today, I finished reading another library book, being The Big One: The Earthquake That Rocked Early America and Helped Create a Science by Jake Page and Charles Officer. I'd had it on my Amazon Wish List for a long time, and I'm glad to have read it, but it wouldn't have made the cut to keep had I bought it. The book is a good overview of the birth and growth of the science of seismology, with especial attention to the New Madrid quakes of 1811 - 1812 with some detail of the latter. It was a fairly quick read, and might be of interest to someone fresh to the subject.
