Dead Dog Cat

#47

Yesterday morning, I finished reading a Falco novel by Lindsey Davis called Alexandria. The series is another of these detective novels set in the period of the Roman Empire. Once again, a good read; I'd recommend the whole series to anyone interested.

Last night, home from work, our home was blessed with the attendance of more than forty of our friends and family as we held a shiva for forestcats after the death of her mother. This was community. All there held my wife in high regard, and their presence was to remind her that she's loved and respected and that she has others upon whom she can depend at any time, but especially in this time of sadness.

I thank you all for being there.
