Dead Dog Cat

I got my hands on some more comics, today, and one that I finished was Ignition City #4. It's still a cool milieu, and I hope and wish that this book lasts a while, but I doubt that. I think Warren Ellis will wrap up this storyline, and possibly come back to it later.

Crappy day to support a crappy week.

hendel had a shocking announcement on his blog, and I'm gobsmacked. Unfortunately, they've moved way up there, and it's no longer possible to go over to commiserate.

I have to be on call this weekend, as my associate just finished four weekends in a row; I will be fair to him and not let it become five.

I tried, I really did, to get into the book A Splendid Exchange: How Trade Shaped the World by William J. Bernstein, but it just didn't hold my interest, and I've moved on.

The good stuff: finished two comics, issues 2 and 3 of The Unwritten, an intriguing Vertigo title; watched Charles Kuralt interview Walter Cronkite about his adventures as a war correspondent in WWII; watched a Netflix DVD of Hotel for Dogs which was predictable, but very nicely done, and tugged prettily on the heartstrings.

But, oh, hendel. I'm so blown away...
