Dead Dog Cat

Last night, the Havurah celebrated Simhat Torah with a delightful ceremony, and along with doing a blessing over the Torah, I helped in the re-rolling of the scroll; this holiday is a celebration of finishing reading the book for the year, and then going back to the beginning to start again.

Afterwards, we met up with Tom to get some dinner at a Thai place. He's going to be with us for another day or two.

In the last couple of days, I read some newly released comic books. First was Fables #110 - still bopping around to many places, so it's hard to keep up. Next was Samurai's Blood #5 of 6 - I will definitely finish this series out. Last was Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes #1 - they are using the cast from ST:TOS as well as a group of DC characters that I liked as a pre-teen. I gave it a try. I'm giving it up.

I read another graphic novel, yesterday, this being the last volume of Freakangels. Number 6 finishes the series that deals with a dozen young people with psi powers in Britain that they had let get out of control. The saga ends with healing. Overall, it's been a good read.
