Dead Dog Cat

Until mid-afternoon, yesterday was a mostly lazy day, which is as rare as hen's teeth around here, so it was something of a pleasure.

Then, we were off to Dungeonmaster. We stopped at Tommy's in Hollywood to keep our stomachs from growling, and then got ourselves set up for the show.

There was a good turnout; apparently some dozen or so folks were doing a twelve-day celebration of a fellow's birthday and the show was one stop on the long party, which was nice. On stage, there were a couple of new folks in the party who held their own, so that was also nice.

Dennys, afterwards, was disappointing, though...

In the lazing about, yesterday, I did read an ebook, Osprey Campaign #224: Mons Graupius AD 83: Rome's Battle at the Edge of the World. It gave a pretty clear picture of what were the problems facing the Roman's in this battle in the north of Britain; the plates were very high-quality. Nice piece of work.

While I'm thinking about it, I also read a couple of comics from the week before. First was the new series book Buckaroo Banzai: Tears of a Clone #1, which seems just as tongue-in-cheek as the original movie; then there was Saucer Country #1, which I didn't care for.
