Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

From a reading standpoint, the last day has been productive.

First, I finished reading the collaboration between PTerry and S. Baxter, The Long Earth. I'm afraid that I didn't enjoy this book nearly as much as I expect from a Pratchett novel. It's a tale of the sudden onset of humanity being able to explore alternate Earths each one different, but only a rare few harbor any intelligences. I had high hopes for the book, but was somewhat disappointed.

Second was Osprey Combat Aircraft #47: F-15C/E Eagle Units of Operation Iraqi Freedom, which also disappointed me for different reasons. This book goes into a lot of detail about the armaments of these aircraft, but not a lot about the pilots and ground crews. I guess there was just too much available information...
