Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

Yesterday was a day of variety. I digitized a couple of albums, but it's really fairly much a failure, as there was skipping...especially when Loralie the cat jumped onto the record player.

I (minimally) helped my wife with a sewing project.

And then we went to the home of themodeinliz and axelicious for their annual Yankee Swap party. We brought a cowbell and a crockpot; came home with a collection of cheese knives and some Snow White cookie cutters. All "C"s. Hmm. Although I was covering the beeper for part of the time we were there, since I knew that I wasn't going to have to go to the hospital, I partook of one of the host's Mai Tais; delicious! (Also, STRONG...)

Join us today at the Guardian of the Flame episode of Dungeonmaster; it will be the final show for several cast, and is likely to be a very, very strange show, indeed. Great fun will be had!

As I wandered through the day, yesterday, I finished reading a book.

I had picked this one up at the WorldCon in Chicago. Last weekend, I met the author, and so I pulled it out to read it quickly.

It was Rum: A Global History by Richard Foss; a quick read, but it has a lot of history detailed in it, and it gave me a better understanding of rum's worth to the world.

It's part of The Edible Series...some of the other titles in the series catch my eye...
