Dead Dog Cat

I know I haven't been posting much of interest the last couple of weeks, but I've been working hard, and had little to say.

Most important thing to mention, in catching up, is that yesterday, we went to my youngest niece's Bat Mitzvah; it was very well=done, and it was fun watching this bubbly young lady behving so seriously. Wonderful day.

I recently left on Tinker Sailor Soldier Spy while my beloved worked on a quilt. Though there was a bit of good acting in it, I didn't find it to really give me the same feel as the book did. Not the best thing I've watched in a while. Speaking of watching, we've worked through all the Netflix discs of Castle (though I admit that we missed a few episodes because I didn't realize that there were two screens of episodes, not one), finishing season four this last week. We await the release of season five discs. I'm enjoying this series pretty well.

A few days ago, I finished reading Bloodstone, a Brother Athelstan Medieval Mystery by Paul Doherty. The author spends a lot of time on accurate descriptions of life in the era, and tacks the mystery onto the tapestry he's woven. I've enjoyed many of Doherty's books in the past, and this one is in keeping with his other work. I will continue following his various series.
