Among the various things I got done yesterday was to finish another novel by Paul Doherty, this one being The Midnight Man. It took me a long time to complete, and several times I thought about quitting it, because though this WAS a mystery novel, it spent most of its time dabbling in horror and occult, and it just wasn't my cup of tea. It's another in the author's series of books ostensibly tales told by the pilgrims of Chaucer's book. Not my favorite by this author.
Saturday was somewhat quiet for me. I got a few chores done, finished a book detailed in another post, finished watching season one of Arrow which wasn't bad for a comic done up as a TV show, and went out for a quick bite with my wife and one of her friends. In the evening, we started making bread bowls for soup for tonight's event with The Knights of Motley; we also harvested fresh oranges for another dish at the table. Lots of cookery to do today, once my beloved returns.
