Dead Dog Cat

#24, 25

Over the last several days, I read a couple more books that I'd purchased at the gaming convention.

First was Osprey Men-at-Arms #337: French Armies of the Hundred Years War, which I found mildly interesting. A war that lasted about a century and a third, leaving perpetual animosity down the ages is in itself interesting, but somehow this book didn't spark me. Too bad.

Second was Osprey Warrior #130: Tarentine Horseman of Magna Graecia 430 – 190 BC. Here's a topic from which until I read this book, I knew next to nothing. This one discusses the situation of the founding fathers of what is now the Italian city of Taranto and their military contributions in the Mediterranean. It's always nice to learn a few new things, no?
