Dead Dog Cat

Although I got a lot of things done, yesterday, I also managed at one point or another to finish reading a couple of books.

First was Dewey Lambdin's The King's Marauder, a tale set in the Napoleonic era; the protagonist commands a sailing warship out of Gibraltar to harry the Spanish coast. Fun read, one of a series.

Then, Osprey Men-At-Arms #165: Armies in Lebanon 1982 - 84. What a mess! Must I say more?

We had a very happy day for the holiday, especially considering that I ended up not being on call. Of course, this means I will be for New Year's; drat!

Anyway, the highlight was joining axelicious and Noodle at their place for Christmas Dinner. Ten people at table were just the right number for the space, and the conversation and camaraderie were just a delight. We came home stuffed to the gills!

To finish off the evening, Netflix recently added Foyle's War season eight to the streaming, and we gobbled up the new season. Excellent piece of work.

I shall be on call through the weekend...how marvellous...
