Tarantino is definitely not among my favorites.

I've liked some of his work, and disliked others. This one wss too over the top for me.

Absolutely. It's not common for us to stop in mid-film, but we did with this one.

I thought it was ok, not great. It's a big-time revenge-against-the-Nazis fantasy, not realistic in any way.

I guess that I find the history of WWII filled with men that fought bravely, and making it silly and racially charged doesn't honor them.

I'm not big on bloody violence and therefore not a Tarantino fan. My biggest concern with this film, however, is that some young and/or naive moviegoers do not realize that it is total fiction; I know this from remarks made by some of my college students back when it first came out. And, no, I am not lying nor exaggerating. And the problem with that, of course, is that it could lead such ignoramuses down the path of Holocaust denial.

I can also imagine similar issues with Django Unchained.
