Anyway, here we go:
47 Ronin #1 - 5 This was a historical/legendary Japanese tale with artwork by Stan Sakai of Usagi Yojimbo fame. Very nice work. It deals with the sequelae of the death of a daimyo forced on him in the Imperial court due to the corruption there. A group of his retainers wait until the official's guard is down to attack and revenge their lord.
Saga #13 - 18 I've liked Saga so far; a cross between SF and fantasy dealing with an interstellar war between a scientific empire and a magical one, it deals with the love between two soldiers, one from each side. In these, the tale continues and it continues to keep my interest.
Lazarus Churchyard #1 Wandering through the stacks at a comic store somewhere in my perambulations, I came upon this Warren Ellis book, and since I hadn't read it, picked it up. I see echoes of Transmetropolitan in it, as well as another title of his that escapes my recollection at the moment. Not bad, not great. I don't have any idea how many issues this title released (and I haven't taken the time to research it).
Battlestar Galactica #1 - 7 Not the recent remake. This is set in the original series from the 70s, and I'm unimpressed. I suspect that I'll finish what I've bought, but I doubt I'll carry forward beyond that. I saw such promise in the original series, and every show I hated how they'd end it. Feh!
