I stayed up too late last night to finish reading Zoe's Tale, a sequel to Old Man's War, and written to parallel The Last Colony by John Scalzi. I found it very enjoyable; I think that he did a good job of writing the book in the voice of a teenage girl. If you haven't tried this series, though, I'd start with Old Man's War.
