Earlier this week, I finished reading Ancillary Sword, the sequel to Ancillary Justice, and to my mind pretty much as good. I like the world that Ann Leckie has described in this series, and I really enjoy the actions of the protagonist. I can't wait to see where things go from here!
Next was Osprey New Vanguard #1: Kingtiger: Heavy Tank 1942 – 1945, which was a pretty good description of the German weapon that was built to counter the numbers of tanks that the Allies built to fight them.
Last night, before falling asleep, I finished Mike Resnick's new book Cat on a Cold Tin Roof, the third book of a mystery series in which the private investigator keeps getting involved in cases in which peoples' pets have a significant influence. In this one, a cat escapes the scene of a murder, and finding it gives a clue about the perpetrator. Good fast read.
