A couple of days, a couple of books.

First was Bangkok Haunts, a detective novel set in Thailand and Cambodia. It's nicely written, and the police investigator who is the protagonist has a mindset completely different from an American's, which is contrasted with a female FBI agent who's been part of the series before. I enjoyed the book; it has a very different feel.

Then, Osprey Men-At-Arms #143: Armies of the Vietnam War (2). Now, Vietnam was the war of my childhood. There's a lot of emotional baggage associated with anything that I read from that era, though this book is pretty cut and dried about simply dealing with the equipment and uniforms of the various nations dealt with. Not bad, but somehow lacking, unfortunately.
