For quite a while, I used a desktop computer upstairs for all my computing needs, though not for over a year; nowadays I have a laptop that I use in the den, a few feet from my beloved's laptop. Mostly, I quit with the desktop computer when it was taking nearly an hour to boot up, and there were funny grinding sounds coming from the tower.

I've been intending to get onto the old computer and pull everything off the hard drive with the intention of yanking it out of there and sending it to the recycling center; yesterday I found the time. I got home from work to a house devoid of spouse, and so I dug in and started cleaning off the drive. Meanwhile, I also went through several piles of papers and whatnot, chucking much of it, and repositioning other items to places in the house where they would be easier and more appropriate to find for use. When the dust finally got to me, the hard drive was clean enough, and at least a corner of the room was clean.

Later that evening, forestcats and I were working our way through the run of NCIS on Netflix streaming when we ran into an episode where the audio and video weren't in synch, watching through our blu-ray player. Disgusted, I made to have Netflix send us the disc to watch, but my beloved suggested that I try streaming it through my laptop, and hey! presto!, it worked! Brilliant thinker, my wife!

Dungeonmaster today with a new run! Be there!
