Had to work, yesterday (and today, but that's another tale), and so I wasn't able to go to Oak Glen with my wife and vampireanneke. When they returned, there was a lot of apple preparation that took place; a couple of fresh pies, my beloved's standard apple butter, and a new recipe of ginger apple butter. Outstanding flavor!

When all the cooking was done, I put on the DVD of Faire: An American Renaissance, the documentary that I enjoyed so much. Our guest seemed to enjoy it as well. We spent some time telling our own Ren Faire stories, stimulated by the DVD.

In other words, a pretty good day.
