On the TV front, I've been gobsmacked this week as ScyFy has premiered The Expanse, given a sneek preview to The Magicians, and had a three night, six hour work, Childhood's End. All of these are based on books, the last of which was Arthur Clarke's work from decades ago, the others more modern. I've yet to watch the Clarke piece, but I really enjoyed the other two. I can't wait for The Magicians to have their premiere in late January; this first taste was terrific. In honor of The Expanse, I started reading a novella set in that milieu, and I'm champing at the bit to see more.
