Bits & pieces, bits & pieces...

The other night on our way to Ground Control we were weirded out by seeing several highway patrol vehicles with their lights flashing ahead of us in the far left lanes; turns out that a very large boat was being transported on I-210 westbound. It was out of Ventura but what it was doing in the Inland Empire leads to fascinating speculation...

Last night I straightaway put on a Netflix disc on its arrival. We watched Mr Holmes with Ian McKellen in the title role, and it's not your typical Sherlockian saga. Very well-done, but quite unexpected. Lovely film.

I'm looking out into our backyard, and just now a hummingbird stopped at our feeder and partook. Beautiful.

Looks like Yogi the horse is getting better, with his hoof less tender. Thank goodness, and the healing hands of forestcats.

I have a chair that I usually use when I'm sitting at this computer. Recently, Sven the red cat has decided that this is the place for him to curl up and snooze in the cold weather we've been having. Since I put a blanket on the chair to keep the experience warmer, I can't blame him. I'm too kind to him; I just pull the chair away and slide a less comfortable one in its place. He's asleep a foot away right now. Talk about pets ruling the house!

Sherlock's Christmas special is supposed to be on PBS this Friday, but repeated attempts to find it on our DVR failed until just a few minutes ago. I anticipate a very good piece of work.

2016 is going to be a better year than this one. I look forward to it!

I also watched Mr. Holmes this week! It was entirely not what I expected, but as a beekeeper, I enjoyed it.

It certainly wasn't what I was expecting, but what it was was brilliant!
