Last night I suggested that we go out and have sushi for dinner. The only problem is that though we have several sushi bars nearby, we've gotten a bit bored with most of them. My beloved and I had tried to get into one in Chino Hills a while back, but they had a line out the door, and we were too hungry to be willing to wait, and ended up at a Chinese place a few doors down that time; this time we decided to face the line.

The restaurant is called Ojiya, and with so many sushi bars within a short drive, there had to be a reason that there was such a wait. As we found out, there is.

The food is delicious. High grade fish, wonderful sauces, a no-rush attitude. The fact that this place has no "all-you-can-eat" offers is highly suggestive of the quality of the fish they buy. We had some interesting rolls, and even the basic forms of sushi were terrific. The rice was delicious! Clearly, we will have to be back again in the future...but we'll bring reading material for the wait.
