First is The Firefly Witch by Alex Bledsoe which is a short piece that I got from Amazon download. It's a tale about a regular guy who gets involved with a Wicca practitioner. Very nicely written and really kept my interest. I hope it's an opening to a novel.
Next was Well Met: Renaissance Faires and the American Counterculture. Now, I can't remember when I first went to the Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Agoura, CA, but I suspect it was during high school, in the very early 70s. This book details the history and sociology of the Faire phenomenon in a really brilliant way. I learned a lot about it, and I really loved this book.
Finally was Elektrograd: Rusted Blood, a short story by Warren Ellis; a mystery set in a strange future. Fun.
On to the next book...
