In one sense, we've done a lot less this week. In another, we remain busy. Such a dichotomy.

The Olympics have kept us fairly well riveted to the TV screen. Admittedly, we're irritated at NBC's coverage, and we have hopped around a little bit; my wife seemed pretty solidly happy with some equestrian coverage we managed to find. But the skill of all the participants is amazing.

We've been out to dinner a couple of times, though we weren't able to connect with friends to join us. In addition, we've taken to long walks at large warehouse stores, buying little or nothing, just using the air conditioned comfort to get some exercise. This is in addition to using the equipment we garnered from Craigslist. I've ridden the recumbent stationary bicycle thirteen times in the last fifteen days, steadily increasing the distance so I'm feeling it in my legs. Not a bad thing.

Yesterday we visited vampireanneke who had decided to have something of an open house/game day. The company was pleasant, and we played a couple of games, one of which I'd never heard (and whose name I can't recall, something about werewolves) and then Munchkin, which I haven't played since Suki still lived in LA. Which is sad, really; it's a fun game. Nice time all-in-all.

We've been devoting a lot more time to walking the dogs; at least four times this week as a pack of five of us (two human, and three canine). Considering that in my previous job I rarely got home until much too late to take them all out, it's been something of a joy for all of us that I can do it now. Happiness!
